50 days left before the International helicopter industry exhibition HeliRussia 2016

Exactly 50 days are left before the opening of the IX International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia 2016 – the helicopter expo will be opened on 19 May. For many aerospace companies and aviation enthusiasts from all around the world HeliRussia 2016 has become a traditional event. It runs annually since 2008 and each year gathers more than 10 thousand people at the large exhibition area at the “Crocus Expo” IEC and lasts for three days.

HeliRussia 2016 is held in accordance with the Order of the Russian Government №1140-R dated June 19, 2015 and is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The event is supported by the Helicopter Industry Association. HeliRussia annually showcases products for both civilian and military markets.

Russian and international helicopter industry companies will traditionally visit HeliRussia 2016. Helicopter expo features companies that covers all types of industry activities, including development and manufacture of helicopters and equipment, operation and MRO, personnel and piloting training, helicopter sales and providing of the related services. HeliRussia is of interest to all parties of the helicopter industry from private owners to the representatives of major international corporations. About 200 companies from 17 countries have submitted their applications for participation in HeliRussia 2016 to this day.

HeliRussia 2016 follows the global trends of the helicopter industry. Thus, despite the helicopter market decline, there is an increased activity in associated services, like MRO and rotorcraft modernization in particular. Foreign companies are showing strong interest in the Russian market.

HeliRussia 2016 has a great significance for the Russian helicopter industry: the comprehensive business program accompanies the event and it is attended by representatives of the Russian transport and aviation authorities. This allows the participants of the business program not only to discuss the industry problems, but also to develop solutions that are being practically implemented in aviation law.
