100 days to HeliRussia 2019 and start of the “Beauty of rotary-wing machines” photo contest
It’s exactly 100 days remaining before the XII International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia 2019. Today the expo has gathered 72 participants from 13 countries: Australia, Belarus, China, Czechia, Finland, France, Lithuania, Malta, New Zealand, Russia, Spain, UK and USA. Negotiations to organize national pavilions for Germany and China are underway. In comparison with the statistics of past events, there is an increase in these indicators for the same period.
Today starts the main Russian industry photo contest, “Beauty of rotary-wing machines”. As always, the contest will be summed on the third day of the expo, May 18th. During all three days of HeliRussia 2019, a selection of 40 best photographs of the competition will be displayed at a designated exhibition.
The “Beauty of rotary-wing machines” is the original companion of HeliRussia. It is organized by the Helicopter Industry Association. Over its history, the contest has earned fame and respect both in Russia and abroad. More than 4,000 works from 721 authors from 15 countries were submitted to the photo contest over 12 years. Over 100 photographers have received awards.
The photo contest demonstrates images by aviation photographers, professionals and amateurs alike. Everyone can take part, regardless of photography experience and equipment. Goal of the contest is to promote interest in helicopter industry, to demonstrate the aviation-themed photos and to support helicopter sports in Russia.
The jury of the contest evaluates the photos in four nominations: helicopter at worker, helicopter at sport, helicopter and nature, military helicopter. Conditions of the photo contest and details on the application submission are hosted at the HIA website. The best photos of the previous competitions are also available there. Photos for the 2019’s contest will be accepted up to on April 8 via E-mail (konkurshelicopter@mail.ru).
As of now, the business program of HeliRussia 2019 is being developed. Among the key events are conferences on status of Russian helicopter market, aerial firefighting and helicopter offshore missions.
The XII International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia 2019 will be held from May 16 to 18 in accordance with the decree of the Russian Government No. 2403-p from October 30, 2017. The venue is the Crocus Expo IEC (halls 3 and 4 of the pavilion 1) in Moscow. The organizer of the expo is the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the event is у executed by the Russian Exhibition Systems with support of the Helicopter Industry Association.
