Pitch session «HELI start»: the Winner is named

On September 17, the Pitch session “HELI Start” was held on the stage at Helirussia 2020. The event is organized by the Helicopter Industry Association. The purpose of the project is to help promote innovative and attractive startups in the field of aircraft and helicopter industry, as well as attract possible investors and business partners for further successful implementation. Using the opportunities of the exhibition and the business community of the Helicopter Industry Association, designers, engineers, designers in the field of aviation innovation were able to present their developments to business angels, private investors, venture capital companies and representatives of industry companies and corporations.

10 projects were admitted to the final presentation, divided into three categories: “Aircraft,” “Services,” “Technologies.” The order of performances was determined the the random draw. The participants presented their projects and answered the questions of the jury, chaired by Oleg Khudolenko – Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Helicopter Industry Association, Deputy General Director for Scientific and Technical Progress, Quality and Safety of JSC NPK PANH, Doctor of Technical Sciences.

The Pitch session gave rein to the expert community, investors and corporations to focus on new projects that can strengthen the industry. And the teams of developers and creators to establish business ties and receive constructive criticism on their projects.

The jury of the Pitch session actively asked the participants questions about the business model and the prospects for implementing developments within the industry. Some representatives received advice from jury members and even invitations to join the dialogue. The author of the “HELI Start” project, Natalia Trofimova, is positive that, regardless of the result of the competition, everyone gained experience, important intended contacts, feedback and outlined for themselves the prospects for the further development of their ideas.

Winner of the Pitch session is the IRCam project – a high-speed automatic device for detecting people, animals or fire from the air. The company received a certificate of participation with a stand in the exhibition HeliRussia 2021. Participants and visitors to the exhibition will be able to get acquainted with the system and evaluate its effectiveness next year.
