HeliRussia 2017 will feature a wide range of offshore equipment

Despite the decline in the oil and gas industry, offshore helicopter operations continue to be in demand with helicopters being used to perform search and rescue missions and border patrol in coastal areas. The 10th International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia 2017 to showcase products of the world’s leading companies involved in the offshore flight equipment R&D.

Aero Sekur from Italy to demonstrate life raft systems, emergency buoys, as well as emergency floatation systems that help the helicopter to stay on the surface of the water. These systems are integrated in the fuselage and are deployed only upon ditching in the water. Aero Sekur’s products are used on helicopters flying in coastal zones and deployed on offshore SAR operations. Also Aero Sekur will present its flexible, crashworthy fuel tank that are used on all helicopters that comply with EASA/FAA standards.

As one of the world’s foremost developers and manufacturers of survival equipment, Hansen Protection from Norway to demonstrate its survival suits for helicopters crew at HeliRussia 2017. The company will feature its SeaAir Barents suit that completely protects the human body, while retaining maximum mobility. Survival suits are obligatory for personnel on oil rigs, passenger ferries, merchant and fishing fleets plus in offshore helicopter transport.

German B/E Aerospace Fischer will demonstrate its comfortable, crashworthy and lightweight helicopter seating systems that are also being used on offshore helicopters. The seats are designed to provide both high comfort and safety. As a result, B/E Fischer Seats enables its customers to allow higher payloads and longer distances.

Russian coastline is about 38.5 thousand kilometers long, and while helicopters are deployed more often, the need of special equipment for offshore flights is growing. HeliRussia annually devotes much attention to this topic.

The 10th anniversary International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia will be held from 25 to 27 May in Moscow’s Crocus Expo IEC. As one of the largest regional industry events, the expo attracts a large number of Russian and foreign companies.
