Helicopter engineering is at the same time one of the most complex and at the same time intellectually capacious areas in industry, requiring the involvement of highly qualified personnel. Together with a demonstration of the full range of industry products and services, HeliRussia International Helicopter Industry Exhibition aims to stimulate a growing interest in helicopter engineering among students and young professionals. This year, the exhibition will provide information on educational programs and career development in the helicopter industry.

To date, the Department of Designing Helicopters of the Moscow Aviation Institute is the only department in the world that conducts comprehensive theoretical and practical training for specialists in the specialty of Helicopter Engineering.

In the process of training at the department, additional individual training of students at enterprises is implemented, at which graduates will be able to find jobs after graduation. MAI is actively developing cooperation with the Russian Helicopters holding: the university prepares specialists for the holding enterprises within the framework of the New Personnel in the Military Industrial Complex program, while students and teachers participate in research and development. In addition, Russian Helicopters and the Moscow Aviation Institute are developing the university’s educational base at the National Center for Helicopter Engineering.
