For the seventh year in a row the International helicopter industry exhibition HeliRussia will take place in the comfortable walls of the IEC “Crocus Expo” on May 22-24, 2014.
It is the only exhibition in Russia where national and foreign companies present the world achievements of the whole range of products and services of the helicopter industry – from design to production and operation.
The exhibition is being held in accordance with the Russian Federal Government order and permits demonstration of military purpose products.
Russian helicopter building industry is one of the few branches of national machine building industry, being in the constant growing development – the production volume of helicopters tripled since 2004 to 2012. Growth of helicopter production in Russia goes on: 290 helicopters have been delivered in 2012, which is 28 choppers (or 10,7%) more in comparison with 2011. In total the “Russian helicopters” holding delivered 9 types of helicopters to the clients from 19 countries, signed some big contracts with India, China and Brazil. The delivery plan for 2013 is guaranteed with the solid orders for 100%.
Volume of foreign supplies of helicopters to Russia maintained the level of 2011 and tendency of intensification of the rotor wing market, started the year before last, fastened in 2012 – about 100 foreign produced helicopters replenished Russian aviation fleet.
The International helicopter industry exhibition is integral part of the growing market that gives the possibility for producers to show, and to consumers to see firsthand and buy on site or place an order.
The popularity of HeliRussia is being in a constant growth: the exhibiting surface of HeliRussia 2013 increased for 1000 sq.m. making in total 12706 sq.m., where 205 (165 russian and 40 foreign) companies from 18 countries displayed their products. This is 60% more than on the first exhibition of 2008. More than 10000 visitors came to value the model range and novelties of the world’s biggest producers of helicopters. More than 400 Russian and foreign journalists were accredited to the event.
HeliRussia is traditionally not only a place to show the achievements of the world’s helicopter industry, but also to discuss the relevant problems of the sector and interdepartmental field. So, within the framework of HeliRussia 2013 forty six different presentations, workshops, conferences and round-tables were held.
In his greeting telegram the Russian President Vladimir Putin noticed that “HeliRussia is not only a diversified and highly interesting exposition. Here are held experts’ meetings, born “fresh ideas”, new projects and initiatives, establish partner relations. All this helps to determine the modern trends of development of helicopter building and the most perspective points of growth. Russia is sincerely interested that the exhibition would continue to expand it’s geographic, serve to deepen the mutually beneficial international cooperation in the field of high technologies”.
Besidespermitting to demonstrate the world’s industry achievements, HeliRussia attracts to the Russian market best world’s companies, facilitates the development of the international cooperation in the helicopter industry. It gives the opportunity to meet the industry’s top managers, directors of the companies and discuss cooperation and interaction.
